If the collecting driver notices a damage to a unit they must report this damage prior to leaving the terminal. The damage should be recorded on a check report and MUST be counter signed by the responsible stevedore or an official SOL representative.

For all damages or claims, a written notification in the Swedish or English language must be sent to SOL Continent Line AB (Claims Dep.) within 6 days after shipment. This applies for new visible and invisible damages.

A liability claim should be sent to SOL Continent Line AB (Claims Dep.) containing the following information:

  • Unit/trailer number
  • Date of shipment
  • Route of shipping
  • Booking number
  • Signed damage report
  • Picture of damage (optional)

SOL Continent Line will register, handle and acknowledge receipt of the claim.

Should a damage need to be repaired at Terminal this shall be reported to and accepted by SOL Continent Line AB (Claims Dep.) before the repairs are commenced.
