Logistics support for the forest industry

SOL North Europe Service (SNES) is a wholly-owned subsidiary of SOL which exclusively provides logistics support to the forest industry in Sweden and Finland. SNES currently manages Stora Enso’s system traffic from the mills in Finland and Sweden to the continent and the UK.

We are responsible for ensuring that 2.5 million tonnes of forest products reach their destination undamaged and on time. The assignment for Stora Enso includes Fleet Management for the ships in the system, positioning of empty equipment and also repair and maintenance of that equipment. We also handle budgeting, and economic and operational follow-up of the system.
